The key to urban spaces is energy on the street … the best urban spaces in the world, Manhattan being a classic example, are sensational because they are geographically stuffed, they can’t expand, they can't grow, they can't spread out.  For that reason they have to develop the little space they have in a very creative way, and with that they create great stunning spaces for people to live and work in.
